I love to talk all things homeschool. Curriculum. Methods. Scheduling. I’m in!
I’ve been teaching for over 20 years. My degrees are in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language, but I’ve taught just about every age from pre-school through adult education. When we decided to begin homeschooling our two boys in 2008, I had a lot of people tell me that while they didn’t necessarily support homeschooling in general, they gave me their blessing since I had been a teacher. (Yeah, people actually said things like that).
You know what I tell people when they say that now? I say that some of the best homeschoolers I know have no college degree.
You don’t have to be a teacher to homeschool your children well!
But that doesn’t mean you won’t feel overwhelmed at times and need a little help. I find myself easily overwhelmed trying to manage the technical side of blogging (definitely not my strength), and so I have found fantastic resources that I rely on to keep me on track.
If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed at times with homeschooling, please consider me as a resource.
Homeschool Consulting Services
When you work with me, we’ll start with a 1/2 hour phone call to talk through your family’s homeschool needs. Then I’ll email you notes from our phone call as well as a personalized plan for you. Your plan can include things like:
- Which homeschool methods might be a good fit for your family.
- Organizing and scheduling your homeschool day.
- Curriculum choices.
- Help for homeschooling high school.
- How to homeschool multiple ages.
- Making sure you stay on track.
*Please note that I cannot help you with matters of homeschooling laws. I can work with you to figure out how to homeschool within your state’s guidelines, but you must be familiar with what your state’s requirements are.
Contact me for rates or to schedule your consultation and we’ll get started right away! Whether you are brand new to homeschooling or just need a check in, now’s the time.
