Jump to recipeThis easy hot fudge sauce comes together in just a couple of minutes with just three ingredients. It will definitely satisfy your chocolate cravings!
So I didn’t actually time it, but can’t take more than 2 minutes to make this Hot Fudge Sauce. Maybe 3.
I wrote yesterday about the ice cream floats we made for our Titanic Girls Movie Night. Since I had gotten the ice cream at Costco, we had leftovers, of course. So I did what any nicest-mom-in-the-world would do…I made sundae toppings!
We’ll just go ahead and make this whole week’s posts about ice cream. What do you think of that? Tomorrow I’ll tell you how to make the world’s easiest caramel sauce.
Monday was our first day back to school, so let’s end summer with a bang. (And by bang I mean ice cream).
Hot Fudge Sauce
You make this hot fudge sauce with just three ingredients: a can of sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and a splash of vanilla.
Heat the chips and condensed milk together first, then add the vanilla. You end up with this thick, rich, decadent sauce.
I store mine in a pint size mason jar in the fridge. When we want sundaes, we just heat it up in the microwave.
I’ll issue a warning here.
I had a hot fudge “incident”, once that left me with 2nd degree burns. (You can read about how I got it, and how I treated it with the superhero of the medicinal herb world if you click here.)
Lesson being… check how hot that jar is before you grab it in the microwave!
You can serve your hot fudge over ice cream, like we usually do. Or you can just grab a spoon and attack that jar straight from the fridge…like I never do. (wink)
Here’s the recipe…Enjoy!
And be sure to stop back tomorrow for the recipe for hot fudge’s best friend…caramel!
