Let's share what we've been perusing this week. From household tips, to spiritual growth...and everything in between!

Social media disagreements, science, history, and random thoughts.  Have I gone back to high school?  Thankfully, no.  And I have to say, what I’ve got to share with you this week is far more interesting than any high school class.

Here’s what I’ve been reading:

This may blow some minds, but there are people whose thoughts I respect on many issues who I (gasp!) disagree with on other issues.  I know, I know…crazy, right?!  I follow Matt Walsh on social media and agree with his perspective on lots of things.  Recently, though, he went on a bit of a diatribe about how Christians look stupid and ignorant when they don’t buy in to what mainstream scientists tell us about the age of the earth and evolution.  One of his claims was that all reputable scientists are in agreement. (Sound familiar– climate change claims anyone??)  Anyway, in response to Mr. Walsh I thought I’d share a few articles that shine some light:

Another Atheist Comes to Christ Because of Science … at Proslogion

Plant geneticist: ‘Darwinian evolution is impossible’ … at Creation.com

Origins of Life:  Problems With the Miller Experiment … at One God Six Days

And a couple of things I’ve written on the topic:

Have we disconnected the fruit from the seeds when it comes to a Biblical worldview?

Fact or Fraud: 4 Common Science Textbook Errors

And finally, this response by the folks at Creation.com was spot on:

Apologist Matt Walsh makes a seriously uninformed attack on biblical creationism

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I found a few interesting pieces to share with you.

Revisionist Thanksgiving … at Providence Foundation.  This article provides lots of proof to refute a claim about the first Thanksgiving being a celebration of a violent massacre of Native Americans by the colonists.

This video by David Barton on the history of Thanksgiving in America is only about 7 minutes long.  Really interesting.

7 Ways to Develop Thankfulness in Your Kids … at Maidservants of Christ.

These next three just stuck with me for some reason…no theme or unifying topic.  I’d love to know which one jumps out at you:

7 Reminders for Reaching the Lost in a Culture That Doesn’t Get Jesus … at The Christian Post

Making Room For Baby … at Design for Mankind   (Mom and dad if you’re reading this…no, I’m not pregnant)

Four Ways NOT to Talk With Your Spouse … at Jill Savage

What have you been reading lately?

*A brief disclaimer…I found these particular articles read-worthy.  That doesn’t mean that I agree with or advocate everything on the site on which individual posts appear.
