Let's share what we've been perusing this week. From household tips, to spiritual growth...and everything in between!

Part of what The Sparrow’s Home was created for was to share resources, information, and inspiration.  I thought it might be beneficial to further that conversation by sharing some things occasionally that I’ve been perusing.

I hope you check out some of these links.  And I’d love it if you commented and let me know what you think of them. They range from household tips that I’m learning, to lifestyle tips, family,  and spiritual growth.

I’d also love it if you shared what God’s been teaching you recently.

Here’s what I’ve been reading and thinking on this week:

Acknowledging that ALL lives matter  …. at Weird, Wacky, Wild, Wanda Willy Whoopie Cushion

The Hidden Reason Behind Many of Your Struggles … at Women Abiding

3 Common Traits of Youth Who Don’t Leave the Church … at FaithIt

How Well Do You Manage Your Home? … at Thankful Homemaker

Simple Shower and Tub Cleaner … at Joyful Homemaking (and thanks to my buddy Susan J. for turning me on to this technique…my tub is soaking in it as I write!)  Update:  While I wouldn’t call this magic…this mixture, paired with some elbow grease using my Norwex Scrub rag—pretty awesome!  I’m definitely sold.

Great reads! I am making my 5-minute list mentioned in managing your household. Ironically, when my kids were little and I worked, full-time or part-time depending on the season of life I was in, I managed to keep a schedule of household duties. Now that they are mostly grown and I work very part-time, I find it more difficult to do. It’s a habit I’ve been wanting to get back into and the 5-minute list is a great place for me to start! Thank you for sharing!

Amy, You bring up such a good point. Habits don’t necessarily get easier to instill because we have more time. It’s really all about priorities and just doing it! And I have my ‘to-do’ list on my island right now! I always think of things I need to do the next day just as I’m shutting off lights, etc. before bed. Writing it down makes all the difference for me in actually getting it done!
