One thing I really do love about Minnesota are the distinctive seasons. On Monday I got to spend the day in Duluth with a friend. Wow! God was really showing off! (Sadly, I didn’t get any really good pictures of the leaves. Sorry!)
I frequently and sincerely thank our Father for his creativity. I mean, He could have made everything black and white, one kind of tree, one season. Thank you, Lord for your goodness to us with these lovely gifts!
In honor of the crisp air and the crisp leaves, I’d like to share some snippets of poetry in printable form with you.
I hope you find something that reminds you to savor this beautiful season.

Ideas for Homeschoolers
– If you homeschool, these could be a great springboard to read more poetry.
– Read the whole poems that these lines come from…read more poetry by these authors.
– Create your own designs with lines from your favorite poems (or poems you’re studying).
– They’d also be useful as dictation (spelling, vocabulary, handwriting).
For more poetry, check out A Young Scholar’s Guide to Poetry. It’s a full year’s curriculum in 32 lessons!
Did this fall poetry inspire you?
…to jump in a pile of leaves
…go for a walk
…savor the view
I love fall. There is something about fall – falling leaves, the crisp in the air..make me want to drop everything and go for a walk. Great post.
I am with you! Fall weather makes me want to get outside and just breathe it all in.
Beautiful printables, and what lovely, lovely sentiment. I grew up in Minnesota, and miss the weather – really! Fall is sooooo beautiful. My high school faced the Mississippi river, and in fall, the leaves really were like flowers!
Thanks, Ruthanne! How lovely to go to school overlooking the river!
This really threw me. I thought it was going to be a load of lines from Fall songs that I could print out, ha! After I worked out I was being a bit daft I really liked the words/graphics combo!
Ha! Sorry about the confusion, Nick. Thanks for your kind words.
So welcoming! I am getting used to have seasons again after living 3 years in warm and humid Singapore!
Amaia, I do love the change of seasons. But in the middle of winter, “warm and humid” sounds divine!!
Very cool. I love poetry and kind of love Fall 🙂
That made me smile. Thanks for stopping by, Heidi!
Hi Susan,
I like your creative work. Have you applied it to other themes?
Growing up in Ontario has given me an appreciation for the four seasons.
However a little winter goes a long way, and therefore my winter vacations take me a long way too.
Thank you, Doug. I have done a few other printables of Bible verses and such. I’m certainly no expert, but I find it fun!
Hey, howdy, thanks for the sweet fall poetry images. I’ll be sharing them on my blog!
Thanks, Eugene!
Lovely printables; pinned to my fall board.
Thanks so much!
