Let's share what we've been perusing this week. From household tips, to spiritual growth...and everything in between!

Why did the millennial burn his mouth on the coffee?

Because he drank it before it was cool.

We love a good pun around here.  I can’t promise to make you cool, but I can share the latest things I’ve been reading.  These are the articles that have been open on my desktop recently.  Hope you find something of value!

Here’s what I’ve been reading:

When Richard Dawkins Notices Your Inconsistency, You Have a Problem! … at Proslogion.  Is offensive speech the same as abusive speech?

How Britain’s Surrender to the UN led to Charlie Gard’s Fate … at The Daily Signal.  If you haven’t been following this case, do a Google search and get up to date.  This article looks specifically at how the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child contributed to this heartbreaking injustice.

Dear Christian Woman, It’s Time to Grow Up … at Kaylene Yoder.  This piece admonishes us to humbly serve in our homes first before we venture into other ministries.  Wanting to shout God’s goodness from the rooftops and blessing others is a noble aim, but if we are neglecting our service to our husbands and children, are we missing the mark?

They wanted to see if hotels were really changing dirty bedsheets, so they set up an ingenious test … at Globe Today.   Prepare to be grossed out, that’s all I have to say.

5 Signs Your Church Might be Heading Toward Progressive Christianity … at Alisa Childers.

..it is difficult to pin down what actually qualifies someone as a Progressive Christian, due to the diversity of beliefs that fall under that designation.  However, there are signs—certain phrases and ideas—that seem to be consistent in Progressive circles.

Teachers, Quit Telling Introverted Students They Should Participate More … at Introvert, Dear.  Good advice not only for educators, but really everyone.  Parents, grandparents, well-meaning friends… we all can benefit from this perspective.

Do you have a favorite pun?

Did you hear about the fellow who stood in for his twin who was in charge of sounding the call to church from the belfry? He had a terrible accident and fell to his death. As people gathered around to discuss the tragedy, regarding the one twins death, someone asked if they were identical twins. And someone replied, “Indeed, he was a dead ringer for his brother.” It’s a groaned, but I hope you like it!

Hello Susan! Thank you for the mention! I like the pun idea. How fun and unique. I sure enjoy a good chuckle, but I’m not a good joke teller. I’m just one of those laugh-ers! 🙂 Blessings to your week, friend!
