Lots of links to crafts, cool treats and fun outdoor activities to do with your kids this summer!

One summer when my kids were in elementary school, I wrote a bunch of crafts, activities and fun treat ideas on slips of paper.  We put them into a bucket and designated one day each week as “Summer Fun Day.”  On those days, they would pull out one slip and we’d do whatever was on it.

Are you looking for fun things to do with your kids this summer that aren’t going to completely drain your wallet or your energy?

You are in the right place!

I’ve put together a list of inexpensive and awesome ideas for you.

Thanks for including my banana bites! Just a note- you do NOT want to substitute anything for the coconut oil. It’s the necessary ingredient. It hardens to a solid when the temperature goes below 76 degrees, which is what creates that wonderful, clean shell of chocolate around the banana. Now, if you want to ADD peanut butter to the chocolate mix, go for it! That sounds like a great variation 🙂 Just don’t eliminate the coconut oil altogether. Great collection for summer here! Thanks again!

Thanks for the tip, Nicole. I’ve made them with just peanut butter and chocolate and I think your suggestion is spot on, the coating would be a lot cleaner with the coconut oil too. Don’t know why I didn’t think to add them both! I’ll make that change in the post.
