Jump to recipeWhen I got word that my Chick-fil-A Mom Panel was being tasked with creating recipes for kids I knew just the little sweetie I wanted to help me make mine. After all, my kids are teenagers, and one is officially an adult (yikes!) so they don’t really qualify to help me out with ‘kids’ recipes. If you have littles, like my friend Scarlett here, you’ll want to work with them on this recipe. But if your kids are a bit older, this is totally something they could do on their own.
The ingredients are all simple ones. And you could easily substitute the grilled chicken nuggets for breaded nuggets, or even leftover cooked chicken or turkey. (Hello Thanksgiving leftovers)
They really are easy to make. Just mix the spread ingredients together, and then layer on the ingredients and roll up. Chicken, spread, cheese, roll.

And don’t worry about messy rolling, ours didn’t look pretty before they cooked, but the messiness actually had a tasty result. Cheese that oozed out and crisped up around the edges. YUM!
The flavor combination reminds me of my parmesan chicken bites, with the mayo and parmesan mix. But I could really see these not only as a tasty lunch or dinner, but an afternoon snack or appetizer.
I like my roll-ups dipped in some warmed marinara sauce. My little helper preferred hers plain.
OK, before you watch our video, I need to tell you a couple of things. First, I am still learning. My husband pointed out to me after we were done cooking that if I turned my phone sideways to film, it would fill up the screen better. Genius! Mental note for next time.
Second, there was zero coaching that went on. In fact, I didn’t tell Miss Scarlett to say or do anything at all for the camera. Not one single thing. This is all her.

Cook with your kids, folks! And when your kids grow up, cook with other people’s kids. 🙂
